Ways to Help Us
You can support Dominic Community Foundation in any number of ways. Making a one-off donation will help us pay for new classroom equipment and teaching resources, help maintain the school building to a good standard, help provide good quality tools for our gardeners and generally enable us to have a little more flexibility. Making regular monthly payments enables DCF to pay our fabulous staff their modest salaries and helps us plan ahead with a greater degree of confidence, something many charities of our size struggle to achieve. Holding or taking part in a sponsored event provides the level of funding required to build new classrooms or install solar power and clean drinking water systems. easyfundraising.com is a simple and free way for charities to receive a steady drip feed of small donations through the generosity of online retailers, but at no extra cost to the shopper.
Our promise to you
Our charity is a strictly not-for-profit organisation, run by volunteers in the UK. We guarantee that all monies raised will be used solely for the construction and operation of our school in Malube, Uganda. DCF Trustees will ensure that every penny pledged to us will be spent wisely, allocated appropriately and accounted for.
What we need the money for
Our charity's pledge is to provide this poverty-stricken community with a chance for its children to receive an affordable full-time education following Uganda's National Curriculum, taught by qualified teachers in a happy, safe and nurturing setting, conducive to learning. In the evenings after school has finished our teachers will run a series of classes for local adults and older children who have missed out on an education, teaching basic literacy and numeracy.
Are you a UK tax payer? If so, for every pound you donate we will receive a further 25p from the UK Tax Office through claiming Gift Aid. This helps enormously in providing even more support for the charity's work.
